Maike Luiken's Mission Statement

IEEE members are at the forefront of science, technology and applications development and are vital to meeting our evolving technological and societal challenges - like global warming - and to enabling a sustainable future for all. As Region 7 Delegate-Elect/Director-Elect, I shall contribute to the IEEE missions by:

• Enhancing the members’ experience by advocating activities inclusive of all members, industrial and community partners,
• Supporting the Sections in providing locally accessible activities of interest and relevance to members’ careers and professional development,
• Enabling a very satisfactory IEEE volunteer experience through support, training and recognition,
• Enhancing the visibility, branding, and impact of IEEE through increasing collaborative activities between industry, business, organizations, academia and IEEE,
• Promoting the use of advanced communications technologies for member activities,
• Promoting and supporting two IEEE Canada conferences and local IEEE conferences and workshops,
• Engaging the public through IEEE activities,
• Practising prudent financial responsibility.

Representing the interests of the IEEE Canada members, I will make our voice and concerns heard nationally and internationally.
